Project Key Information
- To consult on the technical design and install an almost 10 metre accessible play bridge, a 14 metre play bridge and a play net, suitable for the whole family.
- The structures needed to keep participants safe whilst at height, without the need for additional safety systems, e.g. harnesses and belay systems.
- The location was a new development in a new outdoor space.
How 7×19 delivered this Fun Bridge and Play Net
Concept Design
We work with Cap.Co to bring their vision to life technically. The process starts with working from the original concept designs produced by the team at Cap.Co, which we take, check it works from a practical and technical point of view before commencing the full technical design work.
Technical Design
7×19 collaborates with a trusted set of partners to work on the structural and course engineering to ensure the concept can be brought to reality safely.
Once this is done, we have a final set of technical drawings, a confirmed cost and a project plan. This project had to be coordinated with the main playground works happening on site to ensure a smooth construction process.
Manufacturing and Construction
7×19 aims to pre-fabricate as much as we can in our project hub here in North Wales and this project was no different. Experience tells us the more we can do in the controlled environment of the workshop, the better the result for the client in terms of both quality and cost.
All the parts are built, double checked and packed for shipping before making their way to the site in time for our team to spring into action and bring the structures to life.
Construction on this project required close collaboration with the Principal Contractor, CAP.CO to ensure a smooth construction process.
